The decision made by lawmakers to scrap their own immunity for misdemeanours on Friday was partly influenced by the upcoming general election, set to take place in 36 days, political analysts Miroslav Kusy and Laszlo Ollos told TASR. Ollos also thinks that the public mood in recent days might have been another contributing factor. "It could have been the great level of discontent among the public that gradually keeps mounting up," he said.
