The team Slavia Praha will pay homage to the late Czech star pop singer Karel Gott before its Champions League 2nd round match against Dortmund in Prague's Eden arena tonight, Slavia has written on Twitter. After the two teams' exercise before the match, famous songs of Gott, who died of leukaemia at the age of 80 late on Tuesday, will be played, followed by a minute of ovations. The usual observance of one minute of silence could not be agreed upon with the UEFA, the Champions League organiser, so quickly. Gott stood close to Slavia. "It is impossible to enjoy this day. All we can do is to fight and try to win in honour of you. We pay tribute to your memory, Maestro!" Slavia board of directors chairman Jaroslav Tvrdik wrote.
