By overriding President Andrej Kiska's veto against the Political Parties Act on Tuesday, lawmakers from the governing parties Smer-SD, Slovak National Party (SNS) and Most-Hid made an unequivocal step towards changing the Slovak Republic's constitutional system, opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS)said. SaS believes that the amendment is "in discord with elementary logic" and "tramples on the political rights of people", thus prompting the liberals to challenge it at the Constitutional Court.
