The presence of Russian soldiers in Venezuela does not contribute to calming the situation in the country, Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek told journalists today, adding that Prague considers it important to stage new elections that would help settle the country's lengthy crisis. The Czech Republic has recognised opposition leader Juan Guaido as the interim head of Venezuela. Russian soldiers arrived in the country based on Russia's agreement with Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro regime.
