Retired Supreme Court judges may return under proposed amendment

November 21st, 2018

Under a draft amendment to Poland's Supreme Court (SN) act, put forward by the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, SN judges retired under the contested law will have a choice to return to their duties, PiS MP Marek Ast said on Wednesday. Those judges who want to remain retired also have this opportunity, Marek Ast added. "We're creating a framework that enables such a return," Ast told PAP.
