Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini should be attending Brussels talks on EU funds for the new programming period, representatives of the extra-parliamentary Progressive Slovakia)-Together coalition, Michal Truban and Vladimir Sucha said on Thursday. After talks with European Council President Charles Michel on February 4, Pellegrini announced he won't attend the first part of the extraordinary EU summit on the European budget, slated to begin on February 20. Pellegrini apprised Michel that campaign in Slovakia for the upcoming parliamentary election will be in high gear in mid-to-late February and the EU summit is in schedule conflict with Pellegrini's slated participation in one of the televised debates.
