Poland's constitution ought to be amended to fix the issue of farmers' pensions and strengthen the position of rural Poland, President Andrzej Duda said on Wednesday. The head of state made the declaration as he addressed a conference on the constitution and the countryside in Warsaw's Central Agricultural Library (CBR). Duda noted that when it came to the Polish farming industry, "quite a few" issues needed to be resolved constitutionally such as the organisation of the farming system - including "the position of the family-farm in Poland" - and social matters.
