President Andrzej Duda will attend the 5th World Holocaust Forum at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem on January 22-23 on condition that he is permitted to speak, Duda told Poland's TVP Info news channel on Sunday. "For me the necessary condition is that I am allowed to take the floor as the Polish president alongside other heads of state," Duda told TVP Info. He added that his participation in the forum was still under debate, and that he was in standing contact over the matter with the Israeli authorities and Yad Vashem. The matter arose in connection with the forum's scenario, according to which Russian President Vladimir Putin is to be the keynote speaker. On Friday Duda aide Krzysztof Szczerski said this was unacceptable for Warsaw.
