Prague zoo helps save critically endangered Titicaca water frog

The Prague zoo received 70 specimen of the critically endangered Titicaca water frog on Friday evening to create a reserve population of the species, Prague zoo representatives told CTK today. Most of the frogs, whose natural habitat, the mountain Titicaca Lake on the Peruvian-Bolivian border, has been polluted and brought them on the verge of extinction, will be passed on to other institutions.
