The Polish and US presidents may meet in New York during the September UN General Assembly, spokesman for the Polish president Blazej Spychalski told TOK FM private radio station on Tuesday. Referring to US President Donald Trump's expected visit to Poland, Spychalski said Poland is waiting for information from the US side. The US president, who was scheduled to take part in commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of WWII in Warsaw on September 1 and on the next day he was to hold talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda and PM Mateusz Morawiecki, surprisingly called off his trip to Poland a day before the planned start of the visit. Spychalski said that as in previous years, President Andrzej Duda in late September will either attend a meeting of the UN Security Council or take part in the plenary debate of the UN General Assembly.
