Polish bus, truck and fire engine maker Jelcz is to deliver 73 vehicles for the transport of elements of the Patriot air defence system that has been ordered by Poland. A contract to this effect was signed by Defence Ministry and Jelcz representatives in Warsaw on Friday. The value of the contract reaches 171 million zlotys (EUR 39.7m). A 16.6 billion zloty contract for the first of the two planned phases of the Wisla aid defence programme was signed at the end of March 2018. Poland is to receive two batteries to include, among other things, four radars and fire control stations, six command and control posts, 16 launchers, 208 missiles, technical equipment, a logistics package and training.
