Polish trade agency opens office in China's Chengdu

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) launched operations on Thursday in the Chinese city of Chengdu, the main economic and logistics centre of western China and an important centre of the Belt and Road project, also known as the New Silk Road. According to PAIH, Polish producers of health food, cosmetics and jewelry have a high chance of success in China.The office in Chengdu is PAIH's second in China. "Chengdu is of fundamental importance for Polish-Chinese trade. A cargo-train connection leads to there, the first station of which is in central Poland. It is one of the communication routes of the gigantic infrastructural project being implemented by China known as the the New Silk Road which connects that country with the world's key economic centres," PAIH Vice President Wojciech Fedko noted.
