The European Union needs to exert political pressure on Russia so that Moscow stops fueling the Georgian separatist conflict, Polish and Swedish foreign ministers Witold Waszczykowski and Margot Wallstroem said during a Tuesday visit to Georgia. "It is a very strange situation -- in the middle of Europe we have triple division and separation lines that look like the borderland between North and South Korea. This situation is unacceptable," Waszczykowski told a press conference held near a checkpoint in Odzisi. "We are ready to do all we can to encourage both sides to cooperate and find a way of resolving this conflict," Waszczykowski added.
