Polish sport minister reports on EURO 2012

The sport minister on Tuesday presented the government with a progress report on preparations to the EURO 2012 European Football Championship, to be hosted by Ukraine and Poland. The report covers the latter half of 2011 and plans for the first half of this year. Its authors note that to-date EURO preparations embraced 219 infrastructure upgrade projects worth a total PLN 109 billion, including 83 of key importance for the tournament. Already completed are four EURO 2012 stadiums and several motorway stretches.
