Poland's Senate (upper house) will start a three-day sitting on Monday to debate the amended COVID-19 laws aimed to counteract crisis situations caused by the coronavirus pandemic. It will also discuss an amendment to the 2020 budget law. The Sejm (lower house) on Thursday amended current COVID-19 laws in face of the resurgence of the epidemic. Among other measures, the new laws introduce financial bonuses for medical staff employed in COVID-19 treatment and prevention.
