Polish President Andrzej Duda told a joint press conference with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in Warsaw on Monday that, in his opinion, the EU will have to acquire a new shape, and that Britain's departure means a new opening for the European Union. Duda said that "Brexit is a completely new situation for the EU," adding that in this situation France surely was a European superpower. "Undoubtedly, France's role in the EU after Brexit is significantly growing," he said. The Polish head of state also expressed his satisfaction that the French president "has come to Poland in this moment and has signed this extremely important declaration."
