Leading Polish power utilities PGE, Enea and Tauron face top exposure to rising CO2 prices alongside several European peers, rating agency Fitch said in a report published on Monday. Fitch predicts that the average annual price of CO2 will be around EUR 20 per tonne in the medium term. The agency added, however, that the Polish utilities should avoid a hit to retail results in 2019 thanks to protective measures taken by the Polish government.
