Warsaw and Budapest's EU politics and both countries' relations with Germany were among the themes of a "Polish-Hungarian Alliance: Six Dimensions of Bilateral Relations" conference on Tuesday in Budapest. "Our policy towards the European Union as well as its future is probably most important at the moment. Both countries belong to the states that put national sovereignty first, and consider federalisation as a priority in only a few areas," Centre for Euro-Atlantic Integration and Democracy (CEID) head Daniel Bartha told PAP. The main topic of the debate related to Poland and Hungary's relations with Germany, with Paweł Karolewski from Wrocław University presenting the points for discussion. Along with Edit Inotai from CEID, he prepared an analysis of both countries' bilateral relations and how cooperation between the countries can be strengthened.
