The US wind power generation company Invenergy has filed a lawsuit against the Polish government, the Rzeczpospolita daily reported on Tuesday. The Americans invested hundreds of millions of dollars in wind turbines in Poland and now they accuse Warsaw of not protecting the investment, the paper said. According to Inverenergy, Poland is not adhering to a bilateral agreement between the two countries, which would have guaranteed the upkeep and protection of the wind turbine facilities. The formal request for initiating the legal process against the Polish government will be sent on Tuesday. It will be received by the president of Poland, the prime minister, the minister of investment and development and the minister of energy and infrastructure. Invenergy proposes Zurich or Geneva as the place of arbitration. Invenergy is an American energy company which builds, owns and operates power generators and energy storage.
