Polish govt drafts Silesia development plan

The Polish government wants the southern province of Silesia to be the industrial heart of the country, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Katowice, the capital of Silesia, on Tuesday. Morawiecki spoke after a meeting of the Executive Council for the Programme for Silesia, and said they had earlier earmarked 60 billion zlotys (EUR 13.65bn) for the region, of which 23 billion had already been spent or contracted.
