Polish gov't opposes obligatory relocation of migrants - official

June 9th, 2020

Poland, ruled by the Law and Justice (PiS) party, has not and will not approve the obligatory relocation of migrants, Marek Suski, the deputy head of the PiS parliamentary caucus, declared on Tuesday. Suski added that it was Poland's right to decide who it should allow into the country. On Monday, Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski said that Poland, together with six other EU countries, sent a joint letter to the European Commission (EC), in which it opposed the relocation of migrants.
