Polish-German ecumenical service to mark outbreak of WWII

A Polish-German ecumenical service for remembrance and peace will be held at Warsaw's Evangelical Augsburg Church of the Holy Trinity on August 31 to mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War. Michal Karski, an official of the Polish Ecumenical Council, said the service will commemorate the tragic history of the war and steps leading to Polish-German reconciliation.
