Major General Adam Joks on Thursday took over the duties of Joint Force Training Centre commander from Major General Wilhelm Gruen, who headed the NATO training unit, located in the Polish northern city of Bydgoszcz, since 2016. The ceremony was attended by Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Andre Lanata, who supervises the JFTC. The outgoing JFTC commander praised the support received from Poland as the centre's host country. General Joks thanked his predecessor for his hard work over the past three years. Joks, 53, was for the past year deputy head of the Polish Armed Forces General Staff. In 2017-2018, he commanded NATO's Multinational Division North East, located in the Polish north-eastern city of Elblag. The JFTC is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
