Telecommunications firm UPC has to pay a fine of 33 million zlotys (EUR 7.6m) for applying prohibited contractual clauses in its agreements, and repay wrongfully collected money to clients, Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) said on Tuesday. UOKiK President Marek Niechcial said UPC had applied contractual clauses in its agreements enabling unilateral raising of cable subscriptions and the introduction of important changes to the conditions of services provided, among other measures.
