Popular Polish author Dorota Maslowska has received the Samuel Bogumil Linde Prize for literature awarded by the partner cities Torun in Poland and Goettingen in Germany. The prize, which is accompanied by a cheque for 5,000 euros, will be awarded in Goettingen on October 18. Established in 1996, the prize has previously been awarded to, among others, Polish Nobel laureates Wislawa Szymborska (poetry) and Olga Tokarczuk (prose), and renowned German novelist Guenther Grass.
