Polish Antarctic station to be renovated

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education is to grant PLN 88 million (EUR 20.4 million) to the H. Arctowski Polish Antarctic Station to rebuild its infrastructure including a new main hall, Science Minister Jarosław Gowin announced on Wednesday. The Polish Antarctic Station and two Polish land bases - Lions Rump and Demay - support scientific research in the fields of oceanography, geology, climatology, microbiology, botany, ecology, genetics, biology, marine chemistry and many more.
