Poland's unemployment rate flat at 3.8 pct in June - Eurostat

Poland's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 3.8 percent in June 2019 unchanged from May 2019, Eurostat, the EU's statistical office, said on Wednesday. Eurostat estimated the number of jobless people in Poland at 650,000 in June. According to Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS), the unemployment rate in the country fell to 5.3 percent in June 2019 from 5.46 percent a month earlier. The discrepancy between GUS and Eurostat figures results from different methodologies. The euro area (EA19) seasonally-adjusted unemployment was at 7.5 percent in June, against 7.6 percent in May.
