Poland to take over helm of UN Security Council presidency on Aug 1

Poland will take over the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council on August 1. It first held the presidency last May. Poland became a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for a two-year term on January 1, 2018. "Each presidency is a challenge, and therefore we must be professionally prepared for any possible scenario," Joanna Wronecka, who serves as a Permanent Representative of Poland to the United Nations, told PAP.
