This year close to 200,000 residential units will be built in Poland, Minister of Investment and Development Jerzy Kwiecinski announced in Debica (southeastern Poland) on Monday. The minister noted that between 2008 and 2015, on average 146-147,000 units were built per year. Kwiecinski was taking part in the launch of construction on a housing estate being built in Debica as part of the 'Housing Plus' programme. By the end of 2021, 201 units will have been built there with an average size of 51 square metres. "In the last three years we have built 20 percent more apartments," the minister said. "During this time, on average we have built 175,000 flats. Last year it was 185,000 and this year we will approach 200,000 flats."
