The Polish government has decided that the current restrictions applicable to so-called yellow zones, or areas with an increased infection count, will be extended to the whole of Poland, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Thursday. From Saturday, Poles will have to wear masks in public, Morawiecki said, as coronavirus infections have been reaching new peaks in the second wave of the pandemic. The restrictions currently applicable to 'yellow zones' include the mandatory covering of the nose and mouth in public, only one customer per 4 square metres in restaurants and a limit of 25 percent capacity in cinemas.
