The Polish Foreign Ministry on Tuesday summoned the Swedish ambassador to Poland over Sweden's refusal to extradite Stefan Michnik, who Poland suspects of committing communist crimes, Deputy Foreign Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek has said on radio. Stefan Michnik (90) is accused of committing 30 crimes as a Stalinist judge, including the issuance of death sentences against Polish anti-communist underground fighters. Stefan Michnik is a step-brother of Adam Michnik, a high-profile oppositionist during communist times, and now the editor-in-chief of Polish broadsheet Gazeta Wyborcza.
