Poland continues to demand compliance with international law from Russia, Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said on Thursday in reaction to media reports that Poland could have played some role in restoring Russia's Council of Europe voting rights. Commenting on media claims that Poland had facilitated the restoration of Russia's voting rights in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Czaputowicz said the reports "can in no way be supported by facts." On May 17, in Helsinki, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted a declaration stating that all member states had the right to take part in the Committee of Ministers and PACE work.
