The Polish government strongly opposes any relocations of illegal immigrants to Poland, Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski said on Monday, adding that together with six other EU countries, Poland has sent a joint letter to the European Commission on this matter. The interior ministers of the Visegrad Group plus Estonia, Latvia and Slovenia sent a joint letter on Thursday to the European Commission (EC) Vice-President Margaritis Schinas and Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson concerning the Migration and Asylum Pact. The document states that uncontrolled migration represents a serious threat to the Community's cohesion and decisive action is therefore required in the fight against illegal migration.
