Polish economic growth will slow down to around 4 percent this year, Finance Minister Teresa Czerwińska said on Thursday, an opinion echoed by Adam Glapinski, governor of the National Bank of Poland (NBP), the country's central bank. "In the context of global challenges it should be said that the GDP growth rate will be lower this year than last, which is a natural consequence of the economic cycle, and the growth decrease should be relatively mild and should be close to the potential growth rate," the finance minister said at a banking forum. "We can expect a slowdown of the GDP growth to around 4 percent and (we will) take up active measures to maintain the growth rate above 3 percent," Czerwinjska added.
