Poland is in contact with the European Union regarding a potential COVID-19 vaccine and as soon as it is ready the country will likely receive over 20 million shots, Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska said on Monday. So far, the EU has concluded three advance purchase contracts with the makers of COVID-19 vaccines, AstraZeneca, Sanofi and Johnson & Johnson, to secure over 1 billion doses for the bloc's member states. Each of the 27 EU states will be able to order up to 400 million doses of the potential vaccine after it is authorised by the EU drug regulator.
