Despite the moderate slowdown of economic growth to 4.5-4.7 percent, Poland has a chance for a 5 percent economic growth rate this year, Investment and Development Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski said on Wednesday. "I think that the end of the economic cycle will be very mild. I believe it will take place this year," the minister told Radio Plus. Different countries will be affected by the slowdown in different ways, he added. "In the German economy, it's going to be a slide to about 0.5-0.6 percent, we'll see it maybe in the first, maybe in the second quarter. In our case, with the 4.5-4.7 percent level that we may be experiencing now, the significance is simply marginal. So we have a chance for this 5 percent this year again," said Kwiecinski.
