Poland consumer sentiment up in March

The TNS Consumer Index, which measures the degree of optimism among Polish consumers, grew to 6.0 points in March 2019 from 0.3 point a month earlier, according to a survey by researcher Kantar TNS. Kantar TNS wrote in a commentary that "this strong enthusiasm has been chiefly visible in people in the 25-39 age group, and among the jobless." The increase recorded this month stemmed from the announcement of new social programmes for 2019, as well as the presentation of the effects of the past social programmes, Kantar reported, adding that this was the only explanation for such a rise.
