For a second consecutive year, Polish economic growth has outstripped that of the EU, Investment Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski said, commenting on a Eurostat report. Last year, Poland developed at a faster rate than the EU and its GDP per person reached 71 percent of the EU average. Also, in the Actual Individual Consumption (AIC) index Poland was 77 percent of the EU average. In commenting on the new data, Kwiecinski stated: "It shows one thing: that we and Europe, for yet another year, are on the positive side when it comes to becoming richer and developing, but we are doing it faster."
