Poland, Australia to cooperate on security

Poland and Australia will cooperate in security matters, the Polish defence minister's visit in Australia has laid the ground for the conclusion of bilateral defence cooperation agreements, the Polish Defence Ministry said on Wednesday. Recounting Błaszczak's talks in Australia, the ministry said they mainly focused on global security, military training, cyber-security and long-term military cooperation. The ministry added that there were as yet no decisions regarding Poland's possible purchase of Adelaide frigates for its navy. "Minister Mariusz Błaszczak's visit to Australia and his meeting with the defence minister and the minister responsible for the defence industry have strengthened our countries' defence cooperation and have laid the ground for the future conclusion of a cooperation agreement in this field," the ministry wrote.
