The Polish foreign minister said in Berlin on Thursday that Poland and Germany differed in their positions on Nord Stream 2 but had a similar opinion about Russia's negative role in international relations, especially its recent aggression against Ukraine off Crimea. Minister Czaputowicz made the statement after the end of talks with his German counterpart, Heiko Maas. Addressing a joint press conference, the Polish official stressed he shared "a similar vision of Europe" with his German counterpart. "We see the significance of the four freedoms, the rule of competitiveness and the use of the common market potential," he went on to say. Minister Czaputowicz announced that he and Mass would hold a debate on this subject, probably to be held in Poland's western city of Poznan next year.
