Poland as a top beneficiary of the EU's next long-term budget and the bloc's recovery package has achieved an unprecedented success, Polish European Affairs Minister Konrad Szymanski said on Tuesday, commenting on the deal reached by EU leaders earlier in the day. Under the EU post-pandemic stimulus plan for coronavirus-hit economies Poland will receive a total of EUR 160 billion including EUR 124 billion in non-repayable grants. In his opinion, such a good result required a great deal of negotiation effort on the part of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
