Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Tuesday that the government's judicial reform is compatible with European Union rules and the Polish constitution, and that the Court of Justice of the EU will come to the same conclusion in its procedure. In early August, Poland's Supreme Court (SN) sent five questions to the Court of Justice of the EU concerning a recent law that cut the retirement age of SN judges to 65 from 70.
