Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki said in Brussels ahead of the European Council summit on the the budget of the EU's 2021-2027 financial cycle that the recently developed EU budget proposals were "better than the previous ones". Morawiecki noted that the UK's departure from the bloc left 8-9 billion euros less in the coffers annually. Meanwhile, some leaders are intent to shake up the budgeting structure completely and to drastically reduce spending on farming and cohesion policies, he said. Poland will not agree to either, he added.
