PM Mateusz Morawiecki on Thursday named Marcin Pachucki as acting head of the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), after KNF's previous head Marek Chrzanowski resigned on Tuesday over corruption allegations. Pachucki will hold this position until the appointment of the new Chairman of the Financial Supervision Authority, the statement said. Pachucki has been the deputy chairman of the KNF since February 2017, responsible for the supervision of the insurance and capital divisions. The Prime Minister appoints the chairman of the KNF for a 5-year term. In the event of the chairman's resignation, the PM entrusts his duties to one of two deputies.
