Prime Minister Andrej Babis (ANO) admits that his criticism of the Transparency International (TI) anti-corruption organisation was sharp, but considers it appropriate and insists on TI being corrupt over its funding, his lawyer Jiri Urbanek said in court today. The Central Bohemia Regional Court started dealing with a personality protection lawsuit TI filed against PM Andrej Babis, seeking his apology for verbal attacks. Babis repeatedly labelled the organisation as corrupt. He thereby meant the way of its funding, but did not claim that TI had committed a crime, Urbanek explained.
