Pilgrims to honour Palladium of Bohemia in Velehrad this week

Pilgrims may honour the Palladium of Bohemia, a Gothic relief of the Madonna of Stara Boleslav and one of the symbols of Czech statehood, on Thursday and Friday within the Days of People of Good Will in Velehrad, the church festival's secretary Josef Korenek has told CTK. "The Palladium of Bohemia is actually at the level of the crown jewels. We derive the Czech statehood from the palladium because it was handed over in Moravia, at the symbolical Velehrad, Korenek said.
