Pellegrini: Strengthening Frontex 'not ruled out completely' by V4

At their meeting ahead of a two-day informal EU summit in Salzburg on Wednesday representatives of the Visegrad Four group did not completely reject the strengthening of the European Frontex agency, but they did state that the roles and scope of operation of both components (Frontex and national border guards) must be clearly defined, said Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini following the meeting. According to Pellegrini, EU politicians should support a solution that will be evidently capable of contributing to the defence of EU borders.
