Pellegrini sees Slovakia's accession to NATO as strategic decision

Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini said on a social network on Friday that Slovakia's accession to NATO was a strategic decision that gave the country the highest security guarantees that the international community can offer. "Today marks exactly fifteen years since Slovakia joined NATO. At the beginning of March I commemorated this anniversary along with the prime ministers of the other V4 countries in Poland," he stated, adding that Slovakia's defence is a priority. "We're a small country, but if we remained alone, we wouldn't become a bridge but very easy prey," he said.
