Parlt votes on 2nd term for rate-setter Pleschinger

Parliament on Monday approved the appointment of Gyula Pleschinger to a second term as a member of the National Bank of Hungary's rate-setting Monetary Council with a vote of 119 for, 9 against and 1 abstention. He will serve on the council for another six-year term. Before his first appointment, in March 2013, Pleschinger was state secretary at the economy ministry. Between 2010 and 2011 he was the head of the Government Debt Management Agency (AKK).
