The number of the new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Czechia rose by 212 on Tuesday, which was the highest daily rise since June 28, and more than 5,000 are currently ill, the most since the epidemic outbreak in March, according to the Health Ministry's data released on Wednesday morning. There are 5,046 currently infected with the novel coronavirus in the country. Since the first three cases appeared in the Czech Republic in early March, 14,324 have been infected, more than 8,900 have recovered and 360 patients with COVID-19 have died.
